To practice displaying data sets using purely code, I created a way to show the visibility of the Aurora and where it would appear approximately across the globe.

Using the Aurora Forecasting data from the NOAA Space Weather site, I matched the likelihood of visibility to geographic coordinates, and from there assigned each coordinate a pixel on this map. The greater the possible Aurora visibility, the brighter white it glows.
